The Ville Vipers 2026 JBMC Social League Champions

The Ville Vipers proudly represented The Ville precinct at the 2026 Jennifer Board Memorial Carnival, the fifth and final year of the much-loved event, and what a finish it was.

The team dominated from the opening whistle, going unbeaten through the group stage with three convincing wins and securing top spot on the ladder. Their attacking form was outstanding, while a rock-solid defence and some crucial saves kept opponents at bay throughout the day.

After earning a direct path to the semi-finals, the Vipers faced their toughest challenge yet in a thrilling clash against Not 2 Sure. In a nail-biting finish, the team dug deep to secure a 3-2 victory and book their place in the grand final.

The championship match against Tropical Paddy’s was a hard-fought contest, with both teams giving it their all. Jake Westcott scored the decisive goal to secure a 1-0 win, crowning the Ville Vipers the 2026 JBMC Social League Champions.

The team’s carnival record was remarkable, scoring 21 goals and conceding just two across the entire tournament, one of the strongest performances seen in the event’s five-year history.

Adding to an already memorable day, Lourdes-Maria Urbano was named Spirit of the Carnival, recognised for her outstanding sportsmanship, positivity and leadership throughout the competition.

More than the results, the carnival showcased the camaraderie, teamwork and precinct pride of employees from across The Ville precinct, with colleagues cheering the team on every step of the way.
